Depreciation Report

To get to this screen you go menu Accounts/Assets/Depreciation report. Its used to generate reports on assets whose depreciation has been calculated in Loan Performer for a particular period of time. A pop up information window "Assets Depreciation Report" shall appear which looks as follows:

• Branch Code: Select the appropriate branch code from the drop down box. If you are using a Demo Database then by default it shall be  DB or select the "check for all" in the box in order to have a report on assets for all branches (For licensed Copies).
• Cost Center: From the drop down box, select the suitable department or center that you would like to generate a report about assets from. e.g marketing, Production center etc. Otherwise select all if you require data from all departments or cost centers.
• Purchased between: Incase you want to generate a depreciation report for assets bought between a particular period of time,enter the dates for that period e.g. for assets bought between 1st January 2000 in the first box and in the next box (and) 2nd July 2008.
• Supplier:  Select a particular supplier from the drop down box e.g. "Cooper motors" or select the "check for all" box in order to have a report on depreciation for assets bought from all suppliers (Creditors).  
• Asset group: From the drop down select the asset group of the assets you want the report generated. Asset groups are defined at Support Files/Asset Groups.
• Sold: Tick this option to generate depreciation reports for only items that were sold or Not sold to generate depreciation reports for only items that were not sold or even check for all items that exist in the organisation i.e both Sold and Unsold.
• When you select Active assets; these are those assets that are being utilised within or by the company and are still in good working condition.
• When you select In-Active assets; You shall have a report for items that were De-activated at Assets Register under the De-Activation Tab. Reasons for de-activating items may be that the assets are no longer being put to use due to being obsolete etc.
• Depreciation between:  Enter the range of depreciation rates (in Percentage) for which you would like to generate a report on depreciation of an asset, e.g. "0% to 99" % whose calculations had been done in Loan Performer. Different assets may have different depreciation rates.
• Cost price between:  Enter the range of monetary value for assets for which you would like to generate a depreciation report. The maximum value supported in Loan Performer is 999,999,999.99. In the example above, the range is zero to 999,999,999,999.
• Book value between:  Enter the range of the net monetary value of assets for the assets that you would like to generate a depreciation report. This is the asset value less the depreciation.
• Order by:  Select from the drop down box the way your report should display or sort information needed, e.g, by Asset Reference, Description of the asset, Serial number, Location, Purchase Date, Supplier Date Sold, Date In-Active, Branch, Cost Center, Cost Price, Book Value and Asset Group.

N:B  The grouping order will appear in ascending order e.g if you choose the grouping order to be by Description and you had Assets like Office Furniture, Metallic Chair and Motor Vehicle, then the first asset under Description column will be  Metallic chair followed by Motor Vehicle and others as seen below:
